Navigating Purpose, Stability, and the Call for Soul
A personal update and schedule change
In this week’s audio update, I discuss the re-evaluation of my schedule following the two-month experiment of focused personal writing and job searching. The emergence of significant job opportunities has prompted a necessary pivot, shifting the balance between creative purpose and financial stability.
I encourage you to listen to the full episode for the complete context and reflection, but here is a summary of five key shifts addressed in the update:
1. The Schedule Pivot
The initial commitment to spend four hours daily on personal writing and four hours on job search/consultancy for September and October has concluded. The next phase involves dedicating significant time to two new job opportunities that appeared last week - one in finance and one in AI. This move prioritizes financial stability, fulfilling a commitment to myself to balance purpose with practical needs.
2. Clarifying my Voice
A recent session with a business coach helped clarify my core mission: to help equip people for the future by addressing governance, economy, and technology through the lens of soul. This work is not about individual feelings alone, but how collective systems reflect meaning, purpose, and the body’s connection to the world.
3. The Concept of Ambient Dissociation
A key concept I am working with is “ambient dissociation.” This describes the collective trauma, confusion, and dysregulation present in the modern ethos - a constant “ambient noise” of sound bites and surface-level analysis that lacks grounded truth. The antidote to this - wholeness - is central to my work.
4. Shifting Creative Output
While the daily publishing commitment has ended, creative work will continue. I plan to transition to a weekly long-form piece and podcast (including upcoming interviews). I am focusing on elevating the quality of my voice and material and am exploring various taglines that represent my work.
5. Trusting the Unfolding Process
The update concludes with a spiritual reflection on surrender and the lack of assurances in life. I discuss playing “chicken with the universe” and trusting that the unexpected job opportunities are part of a larger, necessary process that will ultimately inform my creative voice, even if the final outcome remains unknown.

Thank you for your heartfelt sharing. I’d like to learn more about how wholeness serves as an antidote to what you call “ambient dissociation”! Best of luck 🤞🏼 (Just listened to your post instead of news at breakfast)
